what we got.

5pm Kickoff means you can chill at the pool,
top up the pale Scottish skin and go for a
massage after the game.. Sounds easy?
Far from..

Both teams heavily depleted, TGA had 8
players out through travelling and injury.
SCC have a few key players out. not
through injury but opting to play in
a “netball” Tournament….

1st Half – 1-0 TGA
Our Standard 4-4-2 set up only showed a
couple players out of position, Bradley
slotting in at left back and Chris pushed into
right back. From the previous encounter
our ex player Matt Sutton was the danger
man, so we knew we had to deal with him.
Bradley stepped up to the plate and kept
him at bay. TGA showed composure today,
knocking the ball about down the channels
and creating a a couple of chances chances.
Big AJ was dominating in the midfield
showing his power and winning tackle after
tackle, with sickboy mopping up anything
that came through. Darren and Jacko
covering the heart of the defense and
Coung blasting his lungs out (as per).
Tigers create only 1 clear cut chance with a
long ball, Coung pulled off a double one on
one save to keep the score level. TGA
started to push more and from the midfiled,
AJ and Notani licking up well. TGA took wen
1-0 up when Ramin cut in from the right and
drilled a low grass cutter off the up right
which kindly landed to our prolific french
striker Yohan to slot home.. Well balanced
and even game in the first half. Credits to
Benji, running his socks off and break up
play after play..

2nd Half 2-1 TGA
Knowing SCC would come out the traps fast
and hard, TGA had soaked up wave after
wave of attack, SCC managed to Level with
an own goal deflecting off Big Daz. This
spurred the SCC on however TGA stepped
up their own game. Great football, Hard
running, Hard Tackling and passion drove us
on. Darren promised Sickboy a goal to
make up for his OG earlier and the big man
supplied nodding in from a corner. 2-1 up
TGA pushed for a 3rd and it came.. one
touch passing from corner to corner, Jacko
slide it to Sickboy who slotted it down the
channel to our only local, the cross was pin
point and it was from the touch line.. Yohan
nodded home…. TGA erupted as the game
was in our hands………. but the ref…
somehow called offside for a ball that went
backwards!!!. It remained 2-1 at the
finish… good chances from headers and a
lightning bolt drive from edge of the box
made the SCC keeper work hard.

One or 2 scuffles on the park, but thats the
passion from both team.. Fair result in the
end, SCC will get auto promotion we will
fight for 3rd and hopefully see them in Div 2
next season..

Great team effort and was proud to have
the Captains armband which Sunil clearly
does not deserve.
