After three weeks of good performances, often
without many regulars we were looking forward
to having (nearly) a full strength side to take on
Racing.

Sadly the wheels fell off pretty badly.

We never really dealt with the full court press of
Racing which stopped us playing and we
couldn’t stop their numerous powerful runners
from midfield as they attacked us with pace
from deep.

Bright spots were the 10-15 minutes including
MacLaughlin’s excellent strike before half time
where it looked like we’d finally turned up and
taken a bit of a grip on the game.

Second half we looked disjointed, gaffe-prone
and picking out a blue shirt having a good game
proved difficult. It descended into long balls,
flared tempers, miscues, own goals and a red
card. Not TGA’s finest display by a long chalk.

We need to raise ourselves for this Sunday’s
tricky fixture again Protege.
