ESPZEN Sunday League: Division 6
3 wins on the bounce now for TGA and a brief return to the top of the table after a solid 2-0 victory. It was a pretty hard fought affair in which we also had to survive a torrential down-pour. The wet conditions made for a slick playing surface and some juicy sliding challenges.\012\012It wasn’t vintage football by any standards as we tried to get a foot on the ball and keep possession. Sunil’s introduction brought a bit of life to the game, his battling run down the left and into the box got the supporters excited. He then deftly picked out goal machine Yohann who put it away with a flourish.\012\0121-0 at half time and we knew we’d need another one to put the game safe. Yohann duly obliged getting his second of the afternoon and capping a great personal performance. His brace earning him the Man-of-the-Match award, just shading the excellent Sunil.\012\012Highlight of the match was Hero Howard proving his name with a last gasp block which gave TGA there 1st clean sheet of the season.\012\012Manager Kent threw himself on for his swan-song with TGA. We’ll all be super sad to see him go but wish him and Jo all the best for their return to England. So cheers to Neil for all he’s done for the club. You will always be TGA !\012
