Another bag full of goals on a scorching day. The script could have been written on a number of different Sundays this year. Pace and flair down the wings from Sutton and Lev. Industry up front and in the middle, matched by solid defending.

Sutton was performing for his dad and brother on the sidelines, Lev apparently playing for himself – but both with devastating results. 2 for Matt, and a fine hat-trick from Lev which included a superb 30 yard free kick and a roundly booed penalty, again backed up by a brace from Ben Morley. There is no team in the league as free scoring as TGA this year as we maintained our points and goals advantage over YDM.

A second half cameo from Mgr Howard saw him link neatly with Sutty. Twice being impeded illegally as he burst into the unheralded territory of the 18 yard box. These two runs and his ability to keep his temper in the heat saw him rewarded with perhaps the least deserved MOM award of all time.

The season end in sight now, let’s be mindful of rare defensive lapses and concentrate until the end.

Honorable mentions to Andy Croll (welcome back) and Weaver who was great all day, and finally to Yohann for being possibly the only player in history to get booked while winning a penalty. Although it must have taken John Terry like bravery for the Official 10 defender to save that shot with his face.
