TGA front man and fantasy football commissioner Alex Noel will be going under the knife for the second time in 4 days tomorrow, when he has aluminum rods removed from his nose, following a shattering experience on Sunday.

Having been on the pitch for only 30 seconds, Al went in for a low header and found his nose connecting with a boot instead of his head with the ball. Going down instantly with blood pouring out, it was obvious straight away that Al had broken one of his most distinguishing features. The bridge of his nose has been shattered, and is currently held together by rods and an aluminum plate while it heals.

Known widely for his distinguished Roman nose, for a long time others have looked on jealously as Al used this feature to his advantage, doing so well with the ladies. To most of them, news of Al’s accident is the second big surprise they have had in the time they have known him. Some have even sent him flowers and cards.

It was only the night before, players from TGA were joking about their newly coined phrase ‘Al Nose Best’. We didn’t realize hours later Al would be getting to know a boot a bit better.

TGA wishes Al all the best and are sure he will be ‘scoring both on and off the pitch (Al Noel, 2008)’ again soon, although very much doubt it. He will be playing football and going out on the pull again soon though, that we are sure of.
