Defender

As one of the forefathers of TGA, I have witnessed a journey that begun with 10 fat bastards trying to play 5 aside football at the cage. It was then that we realised our destiny: To form a tribe of 22 fat bastards and try our hand at real football. Looking at us today, it fills me with pride to see how far we have come. Ashamedly skinny for a founder, my commitment to conform to our logo by drowning myself in beer the night before every game is going strong. I dream of getting there one day. Waking up just in time for a 3pm kick off and arriving looking a bit confused, my level of well being going onto the pitch is rivaled only by few (you know who you are). But with adrenaline surging and high spirits of the team egging each other on, I scream up and down the left wing or sometimes leftback, strong on the tackle and putting in the occasional embarrassing strike, and get the physical punishment needed to bring me back to normality. But TGA is about more than just football for me. The camaraderie off the pitch is unrivaled by any team. It has brought together a group of decent likeminded people and continues to grow in more ways than one. It even lead me to my new job. As players, companions, supporters, wags, cats and dogs, we all walk into this next season stronger than the previous. CCCC'MON TGA!!!!!!!
