Wing wizard Hughes was scouted by Manager Howard in Harry’s on Boat Quay. He rolled up to his first game a day later and quickly showed glimpses of the ability that would make him a TGA main-stay. Hughes possesses a wand of a left foot and a passion for taking himself too seriously. A dead ball specialist, he has been seen to man up and score from the spot under pressure, and also direct from corners to take the piss.

Whether it’s a pint or a football in front of him, Hughes will address it, and be there like a bear. But don’t speak to him the next day as he will have nothing to offer. “Hit me !!!”
